Oporto's new wave: SeaLife

Today we will go down to the depths of the sea, but it will not even be necessary to get wet for it, if you think that we are talking about marine life, then yes, it is almost there because today we are going to talk about SEA LIFE in Oporto.

Oporto’s aquarium is located in a coastal region of the city, more precisely on the 1st Street of the Castle of Queijo, 4100-379 Porto, but it is also worth remembering that it is 20 minutes by foot from Matosinhos Sul metro station.
SEA LIFE is an oceanarium with more than three thousand creatures where we can find the first underwater tunnel of the country that crosses 500 thousand liters of water.
This area is a great place for sightseeing and our team recommends starting an early tour on Matosinhos and taking advantage of both the beach and visiting the nearby Castle of Queijo, then discovering the seas by 3 pm at SEA LIFE.
After all, the dance of fishes, the irreverent aquatic species and the vibrant colors of aquatic ecosystems, will enchant in this space that promises to delight children and adults. The mysterious world of the seas is now closer than ever.

There are many activities that the aquarium presents to its visitors. In the rock pools you can catch a sea urchin or a starfish, you can sleep with sharks, feed a 100kg turtle or even stroll through the aquarium with panoramic view.
In this space we can find the largest collection of cow-muzzle rays from all over the country, and many other peculiar animals such as the rat-eagle ray, the clown pigfish, the cowfish, the pipefish, among many others.

It is also possible to attend lectures, free food demonstrations and know the risks that the marine world faces these days! Do not waste time and get to visit Oporto’s SEA LIFE.
