The international Save The Frogs Day is celebrated on 30 April. Due to this the Center for Environmental Monitoring and Interpretation of Matosinhos is organizing the event "Field Departure for amphibian observation" that takes place on April 27, in the Park of the Porto City. This center works through a protocol between the Matosinhos Town Hall and the Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research of the University of Porto (CIIMAR-UP).
The night field activity is developed by Charcos com Vida Project Team (Charcos with Life), a project coordinated and developed by the Interdisciplinary Marine and Environmental Research Center of the University of Porto. CIIMAR-UP is defined as an institution of advanced research and training of the university. Its objective is to develop research and promote technological development in the area of marine and environmental sciences.
The "Charcos com Vida" campaign aims to raise interest for biodiversity and awareness of the importance and conservation of habitats.
The event starts at 9:00 pm, lasting one hour and has a cost of 5euros per participant, anyone can go.
