The “Federação Académica do Porto” (Academic Federation of Porto) joined the "Uma Árvore pela Floresta" (A Tree for the Forest) campaign of Quercus and CTT. The academy invites everyone to participate in planting trees on March 17 in Peneda-Gerês National Park.
The Federation refers that "students are direct intervention agents, contributing to a greener, healthier and more protected country"; so that, they considered it important to create an initiative for "recovering the country from the last years’ big fires”. Registration for "Plant the Future" runs until March 15 at 11:59 pm and vacancies are limited.
According to the organizers, the participants must be present at the Planetarium of Porto at 9am on the 17th and the arrival is scheduled at 6.30pm at the same place. Transportation is in charge of the Federation. However, lunch and snack is not provided.
